Any of y'all have experience with an inexpensive one that works relatively well? For the most part, our wifi is fine. The only spot we have an issue is on the front corner of our house where we have a Ring Camera looking at the driveway. It gets a signal, but it's just a little low and only works about 50% of the time.
I know those "mesh" systems are supposed to be great, but I'm not spending what they cost just to improve the signal in 1 spot. I feel like if I could put an extender about halfway between our router and that corner of the house, it should theoretically boost the signal enough for the camera to work more reliably.

it’s been a long time ago but i used a Linksys extender that worked great - this was back in the days where phone/cable companies only gave you high speed modems & you had to setup WiFi on your own

I’ve had good luck with one I got at Walmart a year or so ago. I think it’s a Nighthawk brand. Seems it was around $70.

Got a Linksys extender at our house... had it for years and it does a good job. Had to reconnect to it again the other night - got a tv a ways away from the router.

We’ve had good luck with our Deco mesh, and
I have an TP link extender outside and it works good too.
Think it was 60-80.00

Our modem is on one end of the house and we couldn't get service at the other end of the house (2800+ sq ft). I picked this one up and haven't had any problems getting internet connection on the other end of the house since hooking it up. NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX...1750Mbps speed), plus Mesh Smart Roaming

I have one I bought from ATT that shoots the signal up to my shop and another that boost it to the inside (metal buildings are tough to penetrate). This setup give me wifi all around my house, I typically will have wifi within about 500' of my house. Putting them outside made a big difference for me. I did this so I would have alams and camera access in my shop and it works great.

Look for a Linksys or Netgear Repeater/Range Extender. Cheaper version plugs directly into outlet and have two small omni antennas. I just looked on Amazon: Linksys AC750 Dual Band Range Extender…$16 on Amazon.

Get the netgear ORBI system, the 6 not the 7. There is something about the 7 that isn’t supported yet. It is a new router with satellites. The other thing, if you can run an hdmi cable to the area, is to get access points, now those things work! I have them at our main house outside on the back deck, and one in the other corner of the house. Like I said, you have to be able to run an hdmi cable to those. The ORBI system I just installed at another house, it was an easy setup inside as long as you know how to setup a router. This thing can even fluctuate easily between 2.4 and 5 ghz. I’m running it downstairs, upstairs, out on a deck and have one on the dock. Again, get the 6 not 7.
