I work for american forest management (AFM) out the Waynesboro tn office . I was informed by one of their foresters the twra dropped one their big block of land out of public hunting so afm is gonna lease it to hunters . Two blocks of land south of hy 64 between wayneboro tn and Savannah tn.its call the Arnold hollow tract . One block is 4500 acres . Another is 2000 . They told me they probably section it out into 4 different lease . $5-8 an acre what i was told . It’s all got gated access and good deer and turkeys . I know I have worked on area many times . Mostly pine ridges an hardwood bottoms with lots of rds . Got some good clearcuts an steep hills . Get on afm website or call Nancy Mathis at wayneboro office for more info . 1 931 722 3302 ext 15 This may not be on website yet . Just told about today . Most their properties is leased thru the AMP leasing company but this will be done at the office .

LOTS and LOTS of deer in Wayne County TN
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

Wonder how many locals will just keep on hunting it? I was in a club with a guy in Franklin County, he told me about him and his friend's experience with a lease in TN. They needed a jump for a dead battery and asked a local guy who had a house close by for a jump. While he is helping them he tells them you boys have some real nice stands in the woods. The guy looked at him said what you think we ain't gonna hunt these woods just because you lease it? Been living here 40 yrs we gonna hunt it. He said his friend was getting pissed off and he just looked at him and shook his head like no. After they left he told his friend hey, they aint stealing or tearing up our stuff up let it go. So of course they did not renew lease. So yeah out of state lease or any lease is a gamble if you don't live close by or know the people around lease.

Wonder how many locals will just keep on hunting it? Probably the reason they dropped it. Nobody hunted it for the most part. Refer to my first post. I’ve rabbit hunted it a few times. We just stayed on top at the road. It’s incredibly rough terrain. You will not get an atv in there either unless you have a death wish.
