I have a friend and business associate that has gotten hooked on fishing that is from Vermont. I have taken him several times to bass ponds that I fish in my home area but we were considering trying a trip to Lake G. in the Fall this year. We typically conduct business in the Huntsville area then take a day for fishing.
I can't hardly haul my boat on business calls so we were looking to book something with a guide at Lake G.
Any suggestions. I have looked on line and found three or four but would rather have a referral from someone who knows somebody.

you might already know this but go here http://www.markshotlakes.com/reports/ and you can see fishing reports on various lakes. These reports are mostly written by guides. I've never used any but you can see how they do and get their contact info.

Alex Davis is by far the nicest and most professional guide on the lake.

Chris Jackson of Fins & Grins is good. He'll keep you laughing and put you on some fish. He has a vast knowledge of the lake, fishing in general and electronics. Heck, I'll take ya.

Do some research on http://www.wmi.org/bassfish/reports/alabama/index.html Most of the guides post pics and reports on there. My opinion is Tim Chandler hes one of the best and I have personally went with him several times and not once was I disappointed!
