Fraud in their numbers ruined them for me about 15yrs ago. All that talk about Scouts Honor and the headquarters out on I-459 being fun by the people puffing up the enrollment numbers was too much.

Dang shame what it has become. Use to be a huge honor to get Eagle Scout rank and now I won’t put my son in that environment. Hate it because I learned a lot and was challenged as a team and individual. We use to joke that they ought to do a group camp for the girl and Boy Scouts. Now that idea has been twisted and contorted into a sick joke.

I was an Eagle Scout and dang proud of it. Took a lot of work. It’s a whole different organization from when I was active. All I did was scouts and hunt. It’s a shell if what it was in the 70s and 80s. Robert Baden-Powell would be ashamed of what his idea has become.

Trail Life USA is a fantastic alternative to BSA . Their sister organization American Heritage Girls AHG is for the girls. I have been in leadership roles in both organization for my boys and daughters. Fantastic organizations. Just where does all this end, besides the coming of Jesus? I’m asking in all seriousness, will this junk end?

My oldest grandson will be a Webelo Cub Scout this fall and I have enjoyed being a part of it. It has been great for him learning about the outdoors and how to be a good steward of the forest and the friendships that come with it. Any of y’all want to put down scouting because of something kids have no control over can kissmyass.

the same idiots making fun of and 'pissing on' scouting is the same group that's always done it...they know nothing about what the organization used to be, and it's their MO with most things with which they're ignorant.

i'm glad BSA is changing its name though. my oldest finished his Eagle in 2020, and some of my most fond memories of his growing into a man were associated with scouting. BUT, he nor i affiliate with them any longer, and we both had a BIG falling out with them.

i'm hoping the name change will one day sort of associate/remind those of what scouting 'used to be'.

BSA = good. Scouting America = sickos.

Trail Life USA. There's your organization for young boys to be a part of. It stands for the values that BSA did for so many years before conforming to the wokeness of current society.

18. You do have an interesting point there. If BSA is no longer the official logo, business name, and copywrite and trademarks are now open. Then a correct BSA organization (like what it is supposed to be) can be mostly easily rebuilt with the current correct church and healthy community scouting programs out there and the original BSA name and structure can be applied to it. Like a seed sprouting in the forest after a fire. Which is a good lesson all real scouts learn about.

I'll put another thumbs up in here for Trail Life USA. It was founded 10 years about by former Eagle Scouts, but tied directly to a church. Church owns the charter, approves the adult leadership and considers the troop as a ministry of the church.

Christ-centered, boy-led. Highly recommend.

There are other organizations that can provide the same value and honor God.

I want to add on to this. The church approves (1), leadership of the troop approves (2), and the TLUSA area leader also approves (3). Background checked and mandatory training yearly. In addition you have to sign a profession of faith that you believe in the trinity and Jesus is the Son of God.

The organizations leadership is nothing but a bunch of child groomers that need a strong dose of lead vaccinations.

Here is the situation with the Boy Scouts.... They have been caught with some little boy's pants down. 80,000 is the number. The largest sexual abuse settlement in the History of the United States. I have read that they anticipate as many as 150,000 claims.

Now - for whatever reason? - they are going to attempt to open their doors to anyone with a bank account who will write them a check.

Go woke before they go completely broke in an attempt and maybe pickup George Soros or the Democrats as monetary sponsors to groom young men.

The Organization should be tarred and feathered and disbanded. It is unbelievable that anyone would say 80,000 cases of sexual abuse is just sour grapes. You have your own troop but you are part of a pedophile ring no less. That is unbelieveable.
