My wife and I were watching a songwriters documentary last night. There was a segment on the writing of "I drive your truck" based on true story of a man that lost his Son in Afganistan that was awarded the Congressional medal of Honor. I won't lie it brought my allergies out

I absolutely refuse to listen to sad songs or watch sad movies/tv shows. Maybe some folks find it therapeutic but there's already enough depressing chit in the world without voluntarily inviting it in. There are some (like the one I posted above) that can trigger emotions without being "sad" or depressing

How to Save a Life - brings to mind an out-of-town friend who committed suicide, leaving an estranged wife and two young daughters [apparently the song isn't even about suicide, but that's what it makes me think of]
