Totally overcast here in Tuscaloosa County...trying to storm. Will be kinda neat though to see just how dark it gets with a partial eclipse and heavy cloud cover

Same in Starkville. Pretty sure all of the watch events have been moved to theaters and conference venues to watch the broadcast, on campus.

Looks like 1:56pm is the peak eclipse time for us.

The cloud eclipse is wide open. Parking lots in Pelham literally have people sitting in chairs staring at the sky. Hilarious

My biggest question was answered. No birds gobbled during the eclipse.

Birds here went to roost. Gobbled a few times and flew back down.

Saw it at the office with appropriate eye protection. Pretty cool phenomenon. Be 20 years before another one with this much coverage.

That was a different experience. Inter-dimensional travel feels tingly.

Saw the last one from a boat in the middle of Neely Henry. Sky turned purple. Not a single bird was flying or could be heard. We went toward Ragland Dam and there were dead shad & catfish everywhere around Bridge Creek. Very erie to say the least.

Now are you sure it was the travel or the probe that made you fell tingly?

I was in the totality. It was really something to see. You cannot look at it even at 99% with the naked eye. But once it's at 100%, it's awesome.
