I just got #2 for me. It's been a long stretch since the last rain with several birds not wanting to cooperate, this one being one of them. Wouldn't ever gobble on roost or ground but would pop in to check a greenfield a couple times a day. Finally was able to stick around for a late hunt and him and a buddy come in silently. I've hunted every morning since the last rain so I think I might catch up on sleep with rain tomorrow but will be back after them Monday morning.
I got to figure out how to post pics again so I can get these 2 submitted.

#3 on the year and #1 in Louisiana gone at 6:45. Hit the ground and walked straight to me. Easiest bird I’ve had in a long time.

Congrats Reeve and Spec! I just killed #4 this afternoon. Headed west next weekend hopefully can tag a few more before it’s all said and done.

#3 just took a dirt nap. Been after this public land bird for past 4 days. Had him at less than 30 yds on first day and brightness of sight washed him out. It was at 5:50 and found out the 2nd lowest brightness setting was to bright. Another 2 yr old but I'm happy to have him!

I’m still trying fellas, I apologize for letting the team down. It’s been a very trying season. I’ve had the safety off twice and no birds to show.

I’m still trying fellas, I apologize for letting the team down. It’s been a very trying season. I’ve had the safety off twice and no birds to show. Strange year. Most birds and best gobbling in 20 years but they just didn’t act right. Killed 2 in Bama in 2 days and since then it’s been tough. I should have killed one last Thursday but screwed it up.
