It is rough to watch, as someone you've known, adored and admired your whole life. My Grandmother had it, as well. I was "the boy" when she referred to me and called my Mom by my aunt's name most of the time.
Empathy doesn't help much, just know you aren't alone.

Praying for your family, dealing with this same situation with my dad.

It is difficult to loose your loved one before they are gone.

My grand dad had it, and it was awful to see him as it progressed. Sorry to hear you are experiencing the same thing.

Terrible disease. My mother died from it and her final decline coincided with the COVID lockdowns. She had a medical emergency and never made it back home. They put her in a skilled nursing facility and we were not allowed to see her for 3 months (COVID restrictions). By the time we were allowed to see her again she was pitiful and on her deathbed. She died thinking her family had abandoned her.

This makes me sick to heart. I know of more than one instance like that The evil people that tried lock us down will answer for things like that .

Oh yes, we were not alone in that terrible situation. To think such a horrible evil was unleashed for political purposes is sickening. Makes it clear there is no cost too high in the quest for absolute power.

I hate that happened to you, and unfortunately it happened to a lot of people. Some of the patients were able to communicate through FaceTime on an iPad, but lots had no contact with their families
