As accurate as the people he interviews I guess. I watched the black belt one. The black guy from Selma said everyone got along, was no gang problems , and no killings in Selma.

I thought it was called "black belt" because of the soil was really fertile. Pretty sure thats what they taught us in school. Was i lied to or did they change that too?

I watched the one in Fairhope area a few days ago and just watched the Blackbelt one early this morning. Enjoyed watching both of them about my home state. Fairly accurate I thought and the one about the Blackbelt are is more accurate to me since He stopped an talked with people that haves lived there, their whole lives. The one on Fairhope is a little different since there are so many people that have moved to Fairhope in recent times and did not grow up there.

The Doug Kilborn dude from the Fairhope episode is an absolute douche canoe. Not to mention the Cali granola girl import who loves Fairhope soooooo much she can’t wait to change it into a “bluezone”. Fairhope was just fine before you got there and will be better whence you return to that from which you came…. 🖕🏿.
Santanello is great…BUT….his lack of knowledge of the areas he’s visiting allows the people he’s interviewing to steer the narrative.

The added part was sprinkled in conveniently due to politics and ignorance. As soon as the guy said that I thought I guess that is what is spread up North about the Black Belt.

Well, if that episode started out with a lie, manipulation, its pretty hard for me to take it serious from that point forward. I didnt watch but a few minutes of it. I could tell where it was headed. It sure would be nice if someone would just present the facts, all of them, and let a man make his own mind up. I guess were past that though

That’s a much more politically correct way of phrasing my thoughts on him.

I watched both. The black belt comment at the beginning got me too. But I think Peter was desperate for content on that episode. It was short compared to others.

We will see how his alabama series goes. But I have a feeling we will be portrayed in a bad light. He will get more views if it’s about the terrible racism down here in the Deep South 🙄

We both watch Peter. One of our favorite Youtube channels. He seems like a really genuine and good dude who tries really hard to be in partial and not pass judgement on people, no matter how messed up they are.
I think that a lot of times he appears like he's not knowledgeable about an area or a culture, but you know that deep down he does, but he's putting on this childlike inquisitive personal to get folks to explain themselves on their own terms and open up.
I think he knows that if he just askes innocent questions and then shuts up and let's the folks talk he'll gat a lot more genuine content.
I like the dude. He seems like he would be a cool guy to hang out with.
He gave the Amish people a really fair and unbiased treatment. I think he really good a doing that for every culture he's immersed in.

Well I’ll give the ole boy one thing. He ate raccoon or possum on his trip to Mississippi. But I’m not expecting much on the alabama series. His next stop is Tuscaloosa.

Tennessee is getting deluged by Yankees fleeing liberal cesspools like New York and California. I know real estate folks and other people that will profit are all for it but I see it as a detriment to the rest of us.
