High grade logs fetch high grade $.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

Apparently Walnut Hulls, are supposed to work really good, for cleaning Traps. I Intend to find out. Since I have Discovered, I have a good many of them, on some Newly Acquired Property. Good Luck with your Logs.

Whenever I bought a tract that had BW on it good enough for logs or veneer, I had to "sub" it out to other buyers to haul across the TN line to even sell them. Everyone back then in NE AL said the quality was poor. I believe it was collusion.

I saw some BW sawed up, air dried, and used to make a set of spiral steps in a guy's house. Breathtaking!

New traps, let them soak in salt water for a couple days. Then let air dry for a week or two. Creates rust and pits. Get a pot fill it 3/4 way full of water, add black walnut hulls to it and couple block of parifin to it. Boil for a while and add traps. Take a bent coat hanger and slowly remove the traps. Hulls die the traps, parifin helps protect & scent control. Did a bunch this way growing up.
