Some throw up, some don't feel a thing (aka Bill Clinton), some get goofy, some get quiet. No way to really tell how it will affect you. As stated above, don't smoke the whole thing in one sitting...it won't wash off in the shower and you'll have to just wait it out until it finishes doing what its gonna do.
Talked to a Dr. who'd tried it for the first time, just curious. He'd had enough to drink to get his courage up to ask someone to let him try it. He absolutely hated it because he wasn't in control of the feeling. He woke up in the sink in the kitchen where he'd passed out after throwing up. Said he couldn't understand how people liked that feeling, but wasn't aware of the tolerance factor after partaking for a while and your body gets used to it. His interest was more why people (professional linemen, etc where bodies take abuse) use it for pain management, than just the buzz associated.

Good luck with that. I got that curiosity out of my system earlier in life and learned real quick like that it wasn’t for me.

I had a friend that had a little “smoke shack” camper in his backyard. I can clearly remember sitting in that camper and listening to him telling a story about shooting a deer with a bow. After about three or four big hits of that joint that deer story was the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. The funny part didn’t last long though.

Funny turned into standing up and thinking “holy hell, I’ve grown 6 feet taller since I sat down. Somewhere along the way it turned into a full-blown panic attack. I’m talking, I’m having a heart attack, stroke, aneurysm, 100% sure I’m dying panic attack. Begged the sorry bastards to take me to the emergency room. Instead, they drug me into the car and drove me up on “the hill” in Guntersville to buy some more of this chit that was about to kill me. For those not familiar, the hill is the projects of Guntersville, aka the ghetto. That’s where I woke up, in the fetal position in the backseat, with 15 brothas crowded around, laughing and doing chants at me, yelling “I’ll have what this dude had”.

Once I got to where I could walk again, I literally carried a case of Mountain Dew around like I was carrying a baby, everywhere I went. I had cottonmouth so bad that I didn’t even have to swallow it. I could take a drink and my mouth would just instantly suck it up. I absolutely despise bologna but I ate three whole packs out of my friend’s refrigerator. Ripped it straight out of the pack and ate every stacked layer of that nasty, slimy chit like it was a sandwich.

I woke up the next morning on my friend’s couch with food and candy wrappers everywhere, and his mom cussing me for eating all of her lunch bologna.

If it wasn’t for witnessing my friend and his dad both do fine with it, I’d have swore it was laced with something, but I reckon I just wasn’t made to be the Cheech to someone’s Chong. That’s been 25+ years ago and I haven’t touched it since.

Ymmv, but this guy here will never smoke weed with Willie, or anyone else, again.

Speaking from my younger years. Flee

What is a medical preroll? Is that legally obtainable in Alabama?? Asking for a friend😁

A medical "lid". Younger folks probably don't even know what a lid is, but they sure were a handy way for teenagers to buy joints and split them up without any fuss.

Well... interesting thread. I don't like it. That's why I don't mess with the stuff.

Pretty sure all you gotta do is go down to the corner gas station and get some of the legal stuff.... eat one of those gummy things and you'll get close enough.

Everyone always acts like once you try it you'll be hooked on it for life and sell you kids to get some more..... NOPE. I can't stand the stuff makes me feel like I've got a cigarette buzz but that gets old pretty quick for me.

I never tried any drugs. I could see where people would try it because they were curious or peer pressure. I thankfully had some good friends in high school and we never got into any real trouble or stupidity. I had an uncle that in later years was an alcoholic and he had been into drugs earlier in life, so I saw what it did to him and how it ended up killing him. It was sad because he was a neat guy that was very talented.

This reminds me of a story. I had some TKE friends in college. Some of those guys were pretty big into weed. They called me up one day and told me they had some strippers coming out to the frat house that night and I should come check it out. I went over there and it was a very dark room full of a bunch of rowdy college guys, which struck me as a little weird. Two strippers from Columbus, along with their handler, rolled in at some point. Joints were being passed around, and I politely declined. The strippers got started and the dollar bills came out. They kept saying "don't touch our pu--ies with money... money is dirty!" I thought to myself which is dirtier? That whole scene was not for me at all, so I left, grabbed some beer and hung out with the neighbors on the front porch.

I heard Toby Keith's song about not smoking weed with Willie again for the first time the other day. Pretty funny song.

As others have said if you are going to do it I would probably travel to a state where it is legal and buy it from a dispensary. I have smoked weed/done edibles probably close to 15 times in my life. If it were legal I would probably still partake every now and then. Being stoned is nothing like being buzzed or drunk from alcohol. Being stoned puts you in a relaxed state. Good music sounds better, time seems to slow down, If you have friends or family partaking with you stories and conversations become a lot more funnier than they should be. A bad side effect that I never experienced but I've seen other people experience is real bad paranoia. But if your mind is in a good place and you half way know what to expect you should be ok.

Do remember it is a drug and can be addictive just like so many other things in life.

Never tried it and never will. I have no desire to try it but couldn't if I did. Doesn't matter if they legalize it or not. I have too many contracts that require negative drug and alcohol screens as a stipulation. I can't find help now that can pass a piss test.

I was 15 playing for an 18u baseball team and we were headed down to Ft Walton for a 3 day tournament. It was summer league so we all rode in each other’s pickup trucks on the way down. Somewhere between Dothan and the Florida line one got fired up and I happened to be in the rotation. Ended up going 3 for 4 that game with a pair of doubles

That’s a point some, that are for legal recreational, can’t understand. Just because it is legal, doesn't mean your company can’t/won’t test for it any longer, AND FIRE YOU for positive tests within criteria. The criteria may be relaxed to accommodate weekend/occasional use, but they don’t want you influenced while on their clock…alcohol, thc, coke, amphetamines…especially in high liability situations (delivery driver, line worker in a sector where body mangling and mutilation is a real possibility if attention lapses, etc).

I know a few millionaires and one billionaire that take the weed every day. You would never know it if you did not know them personally.

The crazy thing to me is, here in Florida.the constant smell of weed being smoked in traffic, and grocery stores, and hardware stores, and everywhere else you can think of is constant. I don’t see how they get away with it while driving.
