What happened to them. For the last couple of years the fishing has absolutely sucked off the bank. I used to could go down there at any time and spend about an hour figuring them out what they want and how deep then catch 5 or 6 good keepers over the next 2 or 3 hours. I don't think I have caught 10 total the last 2 years frown . I've tried Roostertails, Spoons, Livebait, Crankbaits, Bucktail jigs, Jerkbaits and damn near everything else. I've fished mornings, afternoons, evenings and some daylight to dark days and nada! Any insight would be much appreciated.

If only they would open the dang dam back up, I would go fish the intake side of the turbines frown

Could be something with the drought the last couple of years, spawning, baitfish, etc.

Maybe with the heat they're all piled up at the spring holes down in the creeks.

About 15 years ago we use to go over and rack up on them walking the wall. That eddy down past the wall was a good morning spot for the salts on top water.

I was told that salts were stocked last year. I have caught about 20 in the 1lb to 2lb range this year below the point.

I have had the same problem finding the salts. I did catch a couple of nice hybrids off the wall in May.

We been catchin em up in the creeks where the cool water is coming out of the springs like Clem mentioned. Been catchin some gooduns too. In Talladega creek, any time of the day with 12 inch flukes. Or big swimbaits, or live shad! That's on the coosa river tho. Don't know anything bout em at guntersville.
