Due to the gulf situation we are going to try to freshwater fish. It has been a long time since I have fished in the river so I am looking for some suggestions. Thinking about launching at Cliffs landing on Tensaw and fishing the nearby lakes. Any ideas about what to expect?

if your bass fishing, I would recommend fishing the river or near current this time of year. Fishing a moving tide makes all the difference. A red shad worm is always a good choice.

My wife and I were married on June 26, 1959 and we "honey mooned" at Cliffs. They were biteing any and everything you could throw at them, up in the bayous, at that time.

There you go, Horse cents...that's all you needed to know...a little over 51 years ago, the fish were biting everything you could throw at them.
