Berger are strange bullets, imo. They either make huge exit wounds or tiny ones depending on what you hit in the deer. No rhyme or reason. Lots of people love them. I shot them for a while in my 6.5/284, currently shooting some gifted BTs. Once these are gone I’m going back to Barnes, if not sooner.

The rhyme or reason is tumbling. Those bullets are bad about tumbling, and if you are depending on the bullet to tumble every time you’ll be disappointed.

My 700 BDL is partial to Federal Premium 130 Gr NBT's. It shoots tiny groups with them, and they shoot flat.
