The DG I go into must be different than most. Never wait in line, lady’s always working and stocking shelves and never a mess. Same here. I stop at the one by the house pretty regularly. It’s my normal beer stop.

Probably guilty of over building stores. Could be. I live in a very rural area and there are 3 of them within 10 miles of my house.

Hard to turn a profit if it’s going out the door without being paid for in the store.

probably because their stores have gone to chit (even relative to their own standards just a few years ago). They typically have one unhelpful person.... maybe two....working (and I use "working" loosely as they typically act like they're being held against their will) and there's almost always boxes of unshelved stock laying everywhere and the stores are generally just in a constant state of disarray. They almost always look like they've been ransacked. That's my theory, at least Works for me. They installed two self checkouts here and I'm not for certian they have human employees anymore. To add insult, typically one of the self checkouts isn't turned on.

Dollar general shopping to me is like harbor freight shopping. You can expect a bunch of chit, zero organization, and a bunch of Mexicans. That has been my experience anyway

I sold our DG back before it started falling. Got lucky once in my stock life. They do need to do a better job of staffing and managing. One on 231 was open and I think the attendant freaking left one afternoon I went by. I called, hollered and waited for 10 min. Finally left.

The one time I ever went in one the slovenly overweight checkout guy let out a huge fart while I was paying. Haven't been back.

Does anyone think it will rebound? How much lower before it’s worth buying again?

Does anyone think it will rebound? How much lower before it’s worth buying again? It's up to $135 from $102 in October, need to buy now if you want some DG.
