THe AC hotel downtown is probably where I would look. If not there then either the Courtyard or SPringhill suites on Courtney Drive between Baumhowers and the interstate.

another vote for the AC. 6th and lurleen downtown. stayed there several times for games and concerts. nice bar area inside.

The newer Residence Inn off Rice Mine is also a good option... as is the Holiday Inn Express at Midtown.
