I like my Ryobi stuff for the price. The once used or never used return market is big with Ryobi because they are in all Home Depot stores and people buy them for a project and return instead of renting/buying the tool. Tony Canterberry is on FB Marketplace is in Alabama and has EXCELLENT customer reviews. He takes the time to make sure returns work and have good chains, bars, etc. I have bought from him at half the HD price 3 times now and never an issue.

X2, my Ryobi goes WAO for about an hour before a battery change. I cleared some pretty good sized red oaks out of a neighbors yard after a tornado we had a few weeks back. Perfect for what I use it for.

ECHO makes a highly reviewed battery powered chainsaw that I wanted to purchase a couple of years ago when I needed a modest homeowner's saw. I tried several ECHO dealers, but none had the saw in stock in the late summer of 2021. No availability. Ended up getting a new gas powered saw.

I have the EGO 56V and the in-laws have a Stihl. Both cut better than expected for a battery saw.

EGO-heavier than the Stihl but has a larger gauge bar and chain.
Stihl-lightweight but uses a small .043 chain.

I've cut some large, 18-20" oaks that fell in the road with my EGO. No problems at all. We were already invested in the EGO platform and that's what helped my decision. I have two of their blowers, hedge trimmer, chainsaw and the split shaft power head system with pole saw, hedge trimmers and weed eater.

I really like having a battery saw to throw on the tractor when mowing roads. Don't have to carry fuel and it's quick to jump off to cut a limb etc without fighting a gas saw to crank.

I have two 56v Echo saws, one is the top handle. I love using them both. They can ride in the backseat, easy on the ears, powerful enough for most jobs as long as your battery lasts, easy to maintain, etc. But if I’m working way out in the sticks or have a lot of cutting to do…I grab the gas Stihl.

Husqvarna. Really like it for two reasons: First is the convenience when needing to make a quick cut. The second reason is I can keep it in the Jeep or truck without the smell of premix.

We bought 2 Echos at the fire dept. about then. They do a pretty good job.

Milwaukee fuel 18v. Cuts very good. Came with the 12.0 battery and its needed if you plan on cutting a lot.

Home depot had the 62v green machine 16 in chainsaw with a battery on sale for $73 a few weeks. I haven't used it much, but I'm a fan so far.

Keeping your chain sharp is always important but it really goes a long way in getting a lot done relative to battery life.

I have the Husqvarna 120i and absolutely love it. Battery last for a really long time.

I have 3 of them also but I'll admit, for clearing lanes or branching type stuff it sure is nice to just hit the switch and go. I have been working on a privet patch that I won't go into with one of my 2 strokes just because the noise drowns out the snake rattle or the sound of a moving critter. Killed one already.

I have a Black & Decker. It works great for small jobs.

Don’t worry, I’ve got a dozer, backhoe, tractors, chainsaws and everything else for the heavy stuff. I just need something to toss in the side by side that isn’t going to spill all over my hunting stuff For the few random times of year I need to clear a road when I’m on the go. One cut here, one cut there as needed.

If I go on a road clearing day, I’ll have pawpaws old Husqvarna with me.

Just like all of the battery operated power tools. Batteries need recharging pretty quick and burn out within a year if you use them regularly. Then to replace just the batteries add a little more money and you can buy a new tool with sometimes 2 batteries.

My brother has switched to battery almost exclusively. Not sure the brand, but he says that 2 charged batteries is all the energy HE'S got anyway. By the time they are done, he's wore out.

Just $.02, but I spend a fair amount of money having the shop go through both my says every year or 2. When they come off the shelf, I want them running "as new". A battery is great for low noise, less vibration, cutting shooting lanes or firewood, but most of the reason I keep a chain saw is for the once every 4-5 years that a tornado, hurricane, or ice storm comes through. I don't want to worry about what I'm going to do after the first 6 hours or so when the electricity may be off for 4-5 days.. Not so say I won't someday acquire a good electric saw, but there's a reason I'm still on gas.

I guess an electric chainsaw might have a purpose.....it's just not in Me. Non-Ethenol Gas and 2 stroke Oil You will not have problems with Cranking. Nothin' like th' Sound of a 2 Stroke and th' smell......Arrrrrrgggggg!!

I like my echo - battery went out after 3 years - took it back to tucker atv n jackson expecting to buy a new one - shannon popped a new one on counter and said it had 5 year warranty

I have the Milwaukee fuel saw.
Have been pleased with it for the past 2 plus years.
It's been nice to not have the fuel and oil smell stuck on my clothes.
It's done everything I've needed it to do. First project was cutting up a big pine tree that fell across the road.
Pine was big enough I had to cut it from both sides as the tree was 28-30" in diameter.
