Hey - first time poster - I used to hunt dove (duck every so often). We didnt deer hunt much BUT I’m trying to start going some since its a great way to spend time with my son. Hes very interested. Ive never killed a deer but hope to get lucky this year. I have a .243 and more recently just got a bow. Any tips/advice on where to look/go. Bow is a Bear Paradox RTH. Im in the bham area but willing to drive wherever.
Probably more pressing -best bow shop in Bham area? Any recs?

Take your son on a pay hunt. Stack up a few does and maybe luck up and kill a buck. Nichols was a great bow shop. She gone! The guys at Marks aren’t bad. You can always talk to the bow guy at Hoover Tactical. Seems like a good place to shoot too while it’s hot as hell outside! Best suggestion I have is read, read, read, and watch lots of hunting videos from the non-popular crowds on you tube. The paid hosts do it a little to Hollywood for me.
Hunting brings out the worst in people.

Thanks for the advice folks. Bow is supposed to be here this week so I’ll run it up to one of yalls recommended spots. Appreciate yalls help
