I'm curious as to how many will hunt opening day.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I'm going to miss the first five days. I guess that's better than last year. I flew offshore opening day so I missed the first two weeks. I saw over 40 birds this morning and saw zero struting. Not sure what was up with that unless the weather had them in a funk.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

same here, hope the dr dont tell me to go back to work. if he does i will still hunt every morning til 1000 or so then go to work.
i am planning on heading to the national forest wednesday afternoon and setting up camp and staying until sunday. then hunting around the house for 4 or 5 days then head back to the forest and repeat all season.

scott

if i hadnt taken up hunting i might have became a juvenile delinquent or worst taken up GOLF

That sounds rough.

I suspect with that much time you will be done in the first five days.

I should be able to hunt the first four days unless something should change.

I'm thinking about hunting more this year.

I'm excited for the youth hunt also. First time in the turkey woods for my 11 year old. I sure hope the turkey gods shine on him, he needs to get to play the game a few times. He's a bit slower showing interest in the outdoors

My 10 year old has a few hunts under his belt. He got birds the last two years and two deer this year. He's getting a bit big headed. Lol
