I’m going to an event in the Mercedes Benz stadium in ATL this weekend. Does anyone have any insight on which parking deck to use? I’m trying to figure out which would have best mix of safety/security, distance from the stadium, and fastest escape from the metro Atlanta area. I will be coming and returning along the I-85 corridor. Thanks

When we went to a Falcons game we parked in the Red Deck. It’s close and easy to walk to the stadium. It’s pricey though. I don’t think there is a fast route out of there. It took us about 30-40 min to clear traffic right around the stadium. Not bad for what it is. I chose that deck because it’s so close.

Won’t help you coming up I-85, but I usually ride MARTA (I know…) from Holmes station off I-20 west. Cheaper, good parking, and don’t have to deal with driving downtown. Plus there are usually plenty of like minded folks on the train from that stop.

I went through this twice in the last 3 months. Park at the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe station and take the Marta. It dumps you out right at the stadium.

No fighting parking, driving downtown, and etc. felt safe and was a huge crowd so to the event. Worked out great both times.

Parking on the outskirts of town and riding Marta is the way to go.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

Just stay home would be my suggestion. Trying to get in and out of that place is miserable. No easy way in or out.

I won’t go back.
