Has any one ever turkey hunted here and is it worth going? I am on vacation this weekend at Lake Martin and thought about slipping in the woods tomorrow morning.

Hunted there maybe a dozen times in college, never heard a gobble and only ran into one person. Saw a grand total of 1 gobbler who was on top of a hill when I crested it. Needless to say he ran off into the thick stuff never to be seen again. I was pretty close to private too when I saw him. PM me if you want any details
