The new Kawasaki pro-fxt is a very nice machine. 3 year warranty too. It would be between Mule and Can-Am defender for me. Just don't fall into the ADM markup over msrp that many dealers are trying to put on their machines now. Priced some at Powersports of Montgomery last week they want between $3700- $4k over msrp on the defenders they had in stock. I passed. Stuff like that really pisses me off. I don’t have to buy one. I will remind them of that when times get hard for them

I was in the market for a Kawasaki Mule( std machine) and they were all more than I wanted to pay at the time. I ended up with a low hour 2013 XP900 ( std cab) with a lot of options for under $9k 3 years ago. Has been a good machine but i spend a lot on maintenance and the grease points are a pain. I putt around and maybe put maybe 75-100 miles on it in a year. No belt problems which is what I always heard would be the big issue- so far so good. I will be in the market again in the next year or so, but if I was paying a new price I would get a std or crew cab Kawasaki mule. My dad has had them since 1990 and is on his third one, just kept trading up, and never had a problem with any of his.

The best sxs is the one with a pick up bed and four wheel drive. Made by a Japanese company. Tacoma or something like that

Tucker ATV has been great for me to deal with - Shannon (owner) is a honest good guy
I told him to let me no when he came across a new one - he found one years ago - it has worked great. He is in Jackson Alabama

Snuffy, if you decide to go with Polaris get the 900 or 1000xp and make sure it has power steering, you will thank me later. I worked there for 5 years. The 570 is a good machine but it is louder than it should be and does not have the same quality ride as the bigger models. The 570 is not the same frame as them either, salesmen will try to tell you they are.... they absolutely are not. The motor sits much closer to the seat and will make it get warm. Nice in winter not so much in the summer. I bought a few for friends of mine when I worked there and they included a 900xp, a1000xp crew and a 570. The only complaint any of them have is my buddy who got the 570 wishes he would have got one with power steering. Don't abuse them and they will last for years with just basic maintenance. As far as places to buy from.... don't go to the dealership in Athens. Even the plant quit using them for all the employees orders. They now use the place in Cullman off of 157.

I’ve got some of both. Half my home built in 1999 is on piers and the other half built in 2008 is on a slab. Never a problem from either, so if done right either will work

I've got a 2015 Ranger 570 midsize and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Has been very dependable and does anything I ask of it. Runs about 40 or so on the highway with the wife and little girls loaded up. Gets around in the woods about as good as an ATV. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Kubotas are a true workhorse but rough riding, loud, and deer season will be over time you get across the club to hunt that stand on the backside.

I have a 2015 Polaris Ranger 570 XP. The 570 XP model was only made in 2015-16.
It's been a fantastic machine. No issues and still going strong. I have the same machine. Love it. Rides way better than any kubota or Mule ever thought about riding. Not to mention it can where you wanna go pretty dang fast.

FWIW, I know you said Polaris, but Safford Trading Post is trying to sell all their Gravely SxSs. No idea about them but Keith Bridges, the owner, will negotiate on big ticket items. It might be worth some research and a call anyways.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Polaris is trash imho. Everything breaks. Like the can-am, they are geared so high you have to smash the gas pedal to get any movement especially in 4x4. They won’t idle or crawl through muck. The driving experience is piss poor. You will be replacing axles and alllll kinda stuff.
I’m a Honda guy through and through. Kawasaki is also a good machine.
Cheers Boom
