Got a Benchmade Mediator auto that I really like. It has a lock just below the actuator button that is easy to use and locks it both opened and closed….can’t be bypassed with the actuator button.

Give me manual transmissions, manual transfer cases and manual knives any day. My $30 OKC Rat is my favorite knife I’ve ever had. I’m on my 2nd now only bc I lost the first one. Inexpensive and decent quality steel that stays nice and sharp.

A good pocket snagger hook is quicker than push button tho...I got a cheap one dad gave me and it's quick...

I have carried both and like both. Don't really have a favorite but I no longer care for a manual at all. One handed opening is just to handy in a knife. The thumbstud easy open type or ok but in a warehouse setting (constantly opening boxes) even they will start to wear on your nerves and your thumb. The heck with digging on one with a fingernail like Pops did, he had more patience than me obviously!

I have a CRKT Squid II that is auto-assist and love it, other than it is a "product of China"

X2

Pretty hard to beat for the price. I had the torsion bar go out on one after 8 years of daily use, Kershaw sent me a free replacement with no questions asked.
