After having worn out the square drive in one handle, and having the other snap off as I was tightening my boat down yesterday,
I'm looking for a tralier winch that isn't made out of soft material and will actually stand up tp being used....Any ideas??

Fulton is the brand I've used for many years. Never had one break on me. Over time the drive gear can get some rust to it. The straps last a long time. After getting my trailer positioned in the water and driving on , I've always been able to crank my boat the rest of the way up on the trailer.

Fulton is the only brand worth buying.

Dutton-Lainson still makes winches in the US.

Glad I saw this. About to replace mine. The strap is looking pretty rough.
