Where is a good access point to wade? Flies to use? Is it crowded usually? etc.

Check with these folks for probably the best info: http://www.riversideflyshop.com/ Wading below the dam is fun but you have to be alert to rising water, which can come up quickly (and dangerously). It's been a while since I went but white or chartreuse-white Clousers stripped at a nice pace worked.

If you want to catch fish, use corn. If you want to catch fish on a fly rod, use a fly that looks like corn.

I fish below smith a good bit. Have had success with any white/Chartreuse streamer. If u take along an ultra light spinning rod try a gold little cleo in the smallest size.
