Definitely played you! Got a win against y’all at your place. Almost got in a fight with our starter. Passed ball at the late and y’all slid in hard and our guy was 6’6” and mean. Ended quicker than it should’ve.

I was the guy that he threw an elbow into that started all that. The way I remembered it, I was on third, Todd Cunningham (who later played in MLB for a stint) was on second. Someone got a base hit and I scored from third, I turned around about 15ft behind the plate in line with the 3rd baseline to signal to Todd where to slide based on the throw coming in from the outfield. When the pitcher went around to back up the throw coming in from the outfield, he swung around wide left towards me and threw an elbow right into my chest on his way to the backstop. I can't remember if it was after the play at the plate or right when it happened, but at some point he bellied up to me, I pushed him and threw my helmet down to get ready, and that's when a couple of my guys grabbed me and y'all's bench had already cleared too. Adrenaline is an amazing experience.
They ended up leaving him in until I came up to bat again and then they pulled him, presumably to put you in, so we definitely faced each other, but I can't remember what happened. I used to keep game journals (partly for the mental benefit of it) and I guarantee there's an entry for that game. I'll see if I can find it. I'll have to burn those old composition books one day before anyone else in my family reads them.
I remember playing at Georgia State, too, one time, but my memory has faded a little on that one. We had a terrible start to that year but ended up winning the league, but a terrible start. Looked at the box score...1-4....eeesh...
