Spent a bit of time on the Arkansas river here in Colorado recently. Seems I may have picked up the fly fishing bug. Any recommendations for a relatively cheap fly combo? I'm sure I'll upgrade, but I'd like to experience the cheaper side of things first.

For an all around rod 9 foot 5 wt. I wouldn't go walmart cheap, spend a little more and you will be glad you did. I have a 4 wt Reddington combo that I use to fish small streams. I'm sure you will get more responses for guys that fly fish a lot more than I do.

For the price, Redington is hard to beat.
