I guess everyone took the day off to smoke weed. Got to my spot a tad late, nothing gobbling at the moment. Gonna sit out here and listen till I have to leave for work at 7:15.

Present as well. Beautiful morning in Marion co. Not a peep from the birds that matter.

I was standing at my usual listening spot drinking coffee when a hen flew down out of nowhere and landed 30yds from me. I managed to slide down against a tree without spooking her and now I’m watching her peck around. Maybe she’s got a boyfriend close by.

Heard a single gobble way off and that’s it. Maybe they’ll get going again when it warms up this weekend.

More of the same - Heard nothing on me - May go again Friday Saturday- if hear nothing as usual - probably sleep in Sunday (I never say that - but 3 years of crappie hunting will do it to U) 😀

Good luck guys

Lots turkeys gobbling in the tree this morning. 3 cranked up on the ground but a timber crew cranked up on the neighbors and they have gone quiet. Called up 2 hens so far.

Still getting my butt kicked. Thought I heard one across the road where I heard one a few days ago, made a hustle move to get over there and didn't hear a peep. Going to need to get lucky at least once this season for me to kill one

got to spot late. Man, it's getting daylight early! I heard 3 off the property. Wind was howling in my neck of the woods. Made it really hard to hear. I saw a lone jake in the hayfield. I know a few folks who killed this morning tho.

The Good Lord gave me my chance today and I couldn't capitalize. I was up in the mountains and with the wind I didn't strike him up til I was super close. I sat down just off the trail thinking that he may be on the trail. He wasn't and came just up the hill to my right. In between us was a small thicket and I couldn't get a shot. He walked on by and up the hill. Maybe tomorrow will turn out better.
