With everything that’s going on in todays world it was a very nice relief to get in the woods today. More planning and scouting than I have ever done just hoping to get one of my kids in front of a bird opening weekend. Major is a little boy who loves the woods and it was one of my life’s biggest pleasures today to share it with him. Little guy rolled him a bird that took me years to land. 22lbs, 10 1/8in beard, 1.25 spurs. The Stevens .410 with Nitro shells dusted that Tom and he yelled I GOT HIM DADDY!! I was not the least bit quite to say the least. Today was a good day and here’s to many more.

That’s awesome. My daughter is 6 and she’s no where close to being ready to shoot a turkey. She’ll sit in a deer blind but no shot on turkeys. She’s only shot a BB gun

congrats to both of you.
I carried a 7 year old about his size one morning. We got on a bird and after an hour, two RR tracks, a river...he finally committed and came it. Youngun killed him at 10 steps. He insisted on carrying him by himself. Youngun made it four steps and down he went, lol. He let me carry it then. Nothing like putting kids on gobblers....
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
