https://www.sportoptics.com/meopta-meosport-r-3-15x50-rd-1047491.htmlSport Optics in Louisiana is the first place I have seen Meopta's new scope for 2022, in stock. I have purchased several Meopta products from them over the years and they are a great place to do business with. Think I'm gonna have to go ahead and get one of these snagged for my next rifle.

Bought one of those from them this morning, it seems to check a lot of boxes. I'd pay big money for that scope with MeoStar glass and rugged internals. As is, I think I'll find plenty of use for it, love that reticle, weight, mag range, and that it is MRAD with locking turrets.

Thank you for the heads up. I had read about them a few weeks ago and it got my curiosity up, clearly they won’t be an R1 but interested to see how they do. I just ordered 2, have a 30-30 and 243 sitting in the safe scopeless. It may be a little over kill for them but be nice to get scopes on them nonetheless so they can actually be used. Anyhow, will update once I get them and sighted in.

I just posted this on another aldder thread and think you guys may find it helpful here, also.
I just finished a Red Deer Hind hunt with my son using the MeoSport R 3-15x50 RD. We put 60 rounds of .300 WM under it prior to heading out. Zero issues at the range or in the field. The range day was a warm 77 deg day, the hunt was windchills in the single digits. My son made a nice shot at just over 100 yards into a brushy thicket surrounded by tall trees that created a lot of shade. He turned on the illumination to assure an accurate 1 shot stop. Meopta's MeoStar R2 glass is almost considered the gold standard for low light visibility. Anyone who uses the MeoStar, myself included, will definitely have a low-light story to tell. The MeoSports have arrived in the US, I do not know of any dates for Canadian delivery. You can see pics and read more about the MeoSport R on the Meopta FB Page.
The MeoSport R scope has 2 more lenses (4 more glass surfaces for coatings- I do not know why). My son and I compared the Optika5 to the MeoSport R glass and felt that in daylight, the MeoSport R seemed to pop a little brighter, but in low light, we both thought the Optika glass was a tad better. Enough to make a difference hunting, doubtful. Just passing along my honest impressions of this new release from Meopta. Pics are on Meopta FB page.

Got mine today, wish the illumination knob wasn’t so big but otherwise I really like it. 22.6 oz on my scale and a #4 reticle with a tiny little illuminated dot, awesome hunting reticle. Nice locking turrets too, seems like an excellent scope for the hunter who occasionally dials - like me! ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/JUynxBe.jpg)
