Any body got any info on the rut between Moulton courtland and hillsboro?

I believe it is on now or starting. All the way until Jan 2nd or so Ive had good luck in Trinity right down the road. My buddy shot a pretty good one last night there

These maps are relatively accurate, but nothing about hunting is a sure thing.

That map is waaaaay outdated. There’s an updated version floating around here and the web put out by state biologists maybe someone can post it up

Thanks fellas I've never hunted up this way just recently bought a small farm, I've always and still do hunt pickens county, I figured it was getting close got alot of different bucks starting to show up on camera in the past few days

This is my first year hunting in northwest Franklin County. The map and other hunters at the club say mid January. Anybody seen anything different?

That map is incorrect for my area of chilton and perry. Christmas to January 10 is our rut with prime time being the 1-5.

I hunt Bibb near Shelby county line. Rut is strange there. As the map shows there is a rut mid December to Christmas then again from January 7 to mid Jan. I think there is just a mix of breeds there. Michigan stocked and Alabama native.

Any Jackson county hunters? I am looking to hunt there soon and was wondering when the bucks start cruising just before breeding phase.

What if you hunt on the line where there is two different colors on the map , could you possibly experience both ruts . ?

Yes. I’ve seen it near the Shelby/Bibb county line
