A big one as well, pretty cool. Does the river get over the pond...?

Thats a good one. We brought a few home and put them in the pond. We catch one now and then. I was really hoping they would reproduce. I read they are stocked in ponds regularly up north

Cool! Good eating fish too.

I caught a tiny one on Martin over 30 years ago. Couldn’t figure out what it was.

They’ve been in the Tallapoosa near the Al/Ga line where I grew up since I was a kid, “25 years ago” just wasn’t a lot of em.

That's the biggest I ever seen. I heard they got big but people won't play enough catch and release to let em grow I guess.

My Dad's side of the family is from northern Ohio on lake Erie and I have caught a lot of them. Probably one of the best fish to eat I have ever had. I put fresh perch filets right up there with fresh crappie filets. And that is saying a lot.
