World Ford in Pensacola. Mine was a 2018 Duramax with 42k 4x4 and loaded. I'm going to an F250 with the 7.3l gas burner not quite as loaded as my duramax, but pretty close. Hence the difference in price and why I'm only having to come out of pocket a little bit. I just dealt with emissions system issues with the diesel and decided my days of dealing with that are over. Of course I'm sure I will just be dealing with something else on the F250!!
The 7.3gas is the better option for 75% of diesel owners. I kind of want a diesel because I worked in a diesel shop for 4 years back in my 20s. But I have no business getting one... costs are way too high compared to gas. But hey.. you only live once. WranglerStar on YouTube does a great job explaining why he purchased the 7.3 instead of a diesel. And he does a ton of homestead type work.

It looking more and more like I’m gonna have to keep mine. My Silverado LTZ is a 2018 with 39,000 miles. I like the truck and there’s nothing wrong with it. I’m just Leary because so many people are having engine or transmission problems out of them. I plan on keeping my truck until either the truck or I die.

They'll already do 120 months (and maybe more) on boats and campers, which depreciate a hell of a lot faster than trucks...I'm shocked we haven't already seen it on vechicles.

I mean, 0% is free money regardless of whether you are paying more than the cash price. But I don't think anyone is doing any kind of incentive like that right now, don't need to. Also aren't getting any better deal paying cash. Most places are actually getting over sticker.

Just wait until the government starts giving manufacturers huge tax and other incentives to limit production of gas vehicles. That will be followed by dealerships getting huge government incentives to sell electric vehicles.
Gonna be a lot of 60k pick up trucks on the road that people will be scared to buy used. I saw an article online the other night where the government is offering up to 12.5k in incentives on electric vehicles beginning in Jan 2022. The gest of it was, the new Lightning would be the big winner and one of the few that would qualify for all of the incentives.

I don't want to buy a new truck. I was planning on keeping mine for a while and riding it out. But what good is a vehicle with a warranty when you can't get anything done to it? Heard a guy here in town bought a new Platinum and called to get the oil changed. Told him it was going to be 3+ weeks before they could get him in. For an oil change on a $70,000 + vehicle.

I’d be afraid to buy anything now I couldn’t pay cash for.
We have no idea how bad the economy might get. Unless you have a state or other government funded/protected job, nobody is safe from a layoff if we have another tank in the economy.
We’ve been laying people off since 2018 and I’m seeing people that were making 60 to 78k a year take jobs making less than 55k because that’s all that’s out there.

I would really like to trade trucks. How long is this supposed to last? Until Shits-n-Giggles can dry up the supply entirely and get your new electric (emasculated) eco freak approved truck and ready to roll.

Their next move will be higher insurance and penalties for driving gas powered vehicles. Hopefully they don’t succeed.

Well found out officially that the truck I put a deposit on is built, but waiting on a chip from Malaysia. My F150 needs a valve body assembly and it’s ordered but no ideas on availability and completion. I’m so damn frustrated I don’t know what to do. Been driving a 2010 Mustang for three weeks and while I love it, I’m tired of not having a truck. Guess I should be thankful I have a car to drive. Nothing better than paying for a truck that’s been in the shop 6 weeks over the past 7 months.

I’m about 🤏🏽 this close 🤏🏽 to having my lawyer send FordMoCo a nasty letter. I had signed online docs for a new King Ranch F250 with the 7.3L and when I got to the stealership to take delivery they had a whole different truck sitting there detailed and waiting on me. Wasn’t the same color, had a different engine, different trim pkg, nowhere near the same options. The truck I thought I had bought nowhere to be found and after searching the VIN turns out it’s sitting in Lexington, waiting on that same chip from Malaysia. 🤦🏽♂️
