Good luck. Not a ton of gators left and you really have to hunt for the big ones. To many people killing them for shits and giggles down there now. I was told a guy killed 20 something last year near his river place. Best thing to do is scout hard and just go ride the river looking for a good one.

You can usually find a 9+ in Chalatchee or Bogue Chitta. Like TN said the bubbas are killing them but they don’t get any of the really big ones. There’s just not any big ones left. They take 75 years to grow 12-13ft on average. Not like a deer maturing in 5

Still sum good gators in the west central zone we killed a 12 foot 11 inch 552 lb gator sat nite. I dont know how to post pics. Or id post sum up

It was worth every bit of it tho. Most fun ive ever had in my life.that crazy thing bit the boat so hard it broke teeth off in the fiberglass. Very exciting hunt
