Post Rutting activity for the areas of Butler,Wilcox & Monroe Counties.
As of today we've had active scrapes popping up everywhere for the last couple weeks there on our 3K acre tract in Awin. Al. (South-east Wilcox, North-east Monroe) Starting to see some daytime buck activity and have had a few bucks starting to tend and chase just a little. The does arent in estrus in earnest yet but it seems there are running a little ahead of schedule compared to years past.
There are two types of pain...the short term pain of self-discipline, or the long term pain of regret.

Last day i hunted was friday in butler county. Saw three racked bucks that day, most I have ever seen in a day of hunting. Killed about a 100 inch eight, live weight 180, friday afternoon- the deer were not chasing or trailing, but they were doing alot of hooking and scraping. The one I killed was absolutely destroying the woods around me after i grunted to him. Came in and i shot him at nine steps- Did not see the first doe, but I think rut cannot be far off with all this activity. Thats just my two cents

On our lease in Monroe county, bucks are starting to cruise in the daytime. We killed a 200+ lb 7 point and a nice 8 pt last week. No signs of chasing yet. Woods are tore up with sign. The most I've seen in the 8 seasons I've hunted there.. I sure wish I had more vacation

Temps in the 70's and rain this past weekend didn't help at all! If we can cool down a bit maybe it will help em a little.

Rut picking up steam here. After the cold front came in yesterday sightings of bucks actively chasing does are coming in. One of our members killed a nice 11pt 134 B&C this morning chasing does hard.

Saw a SOOS 5 point and a spike yesterday and plenty of scrapes and tracks where they are chasing in Conecuh around Mixonville, buddy of mine killed an 8 point in evergreen this evening at 2:00 cruising in a clear cut,I know of another buck killed in Georgiana this morning that is gonna score close to 140 and he was chasing some does, the rut is definately about 3 weeks early this year around these parts.
