been takin the little one the past few sundays..and having a ball...

anybody else ever do the same..

do u use decoys, eletronic caller or mouth calls, whats your prefered set up

I have an electronic caller and some decoys that I use around the house some.

Love crow hunting. the way I got hooked was kind of funny. I used to be hardcore coyote hunter. One sunny Feb. afternoon me and a buddy were set up on a thick piece of property, watching a logging road. I had a turkey call in my mouth (I can do all sorts of calls on a diaphram) and I heard some crows fire up close by. I had never attempted to call a crow but I could do a good crow with the turkey call, so I blasted off a couple of caws and within a few seconds we had a flock of crows circling right above us. We both had shotguns with #4 buck and I'm the type to fish for what's bitting, so I cut lose on a couple of crows and my buddy followed my lead. After we had dropped a couple and scared the others off. I said that was some fun and I got a case of #6's in the truck. We hunted crow the rest of the day and had a blast. From there I bought calls, electronic calls,decoys, all the crow gear I could find. It is a lot of fun. Me and my son stll go every now and then.

Hunting crows is a blast. But, it can be difficult as well. Like anything you hunt, scouting out the correct place is paramount. Once you the place, the rest is just work setting up. I have been building me a new blind out of camo and PVC pipe. Plan on breaking it out right after deer season. LOL

Other than that, I will have to wait until next Aug-Sept timeframe to start back.

Calling is important. The setup is important. The blind is VERY important.
