I'm sure many of you on this forum are like me and have been lifetime NWTF members and have donated your time and money to the organization. I also have noticed that many of you share my thoughts on the current direction of the NWTF and the lack of on the ground research and habitat projects being conducted. If you get a chance please give the organization Turkeys For Tomorrow a look and read about their mission and goals. This is a new grass roots organization whose focus is on "supporting and promoting science, conservation, education and hunting traditions for America’s wild turkey resource while working alongside like minded organizations, state wildlife agencies, hunters, landowners and universities to ensure we all have turkeys for tomorrow". I've spoken to many of the members on the board and I believe they are moving in the right direction with the sole interest of working with hunters, state agencies, and biologists to restore and promote habitat for turkeys. Many of these founding members are lifetime and even hall of fame NWTF members who will continue to support the NWTF. However, they believe the NWTF has gone in a different direction than originally intended and that this organization will get back to the most important goal which is the sustainability of the wild turkey. At this time the organization needs support and membership to help with research funding. These research projects will be used to educate and inform state agencies so that science and not politics will hopefully decide policy. If you have any questions please give any of these guys a call and they will be glad to share their purpose and mission with you. Also, all money donated will be accounted and made public so that members can be sure their money is going to turkey research and conservation. If you want to learn more check the organization out at www.turkeysfortomorrow.org.

A friend of mine is part of Turkeys for Tomorrow. Turkey hunting for him isn't just a hobby, it's a reason to go to work.

Probably the best $25 a turkey hunter could spend.

Lot of good folks on this new group's board I've known for years. I wish them all the success they can get with it.

To the top for those that joined. I wish there was enough interest to have a fund raising event of some kind.
