Has anybody fished it before? Gonna try to go out there soon. Was just wanting to know if it’s deep enough to hold some fish

It's planty deep. The only time I've ever caught much is at the water discharge into the river. Usually it's best when they first open the pipe.

Don’t know how deep it is right now but they started dropping it after the youth/vet hunt 1st weekend of February, and they were getting it out as fast as I’ve ever seen it. I haven’t been back since, im sure there’s still plenty of water in there especially with the recent weather.

I fish behind the equipment shed where the duck hunters put there boat in. It is shallow but there are crappie, bass and bluegill in there. I fish for bass when the Lilly pads come out in june-july . I catch a lot of 4-5 lb bass on hollow body frogs. The crappie and gills are on small beetle spin type spinners. If you turn right at the equipment shed it will take you back to the SPRING AS IT IS CALLED. The beavers have it dammed up on the lower end and it has good fishing also. There are a lot of cotton mouth in both places. I have never had a problem with them.

I fish the dewatering unit every year when they drop the water down to summer level. I catch tons of bass/bream in there. Never really tried for crappie. I’ve fished it when it’s high water but I’ve never had much success at that water level.
May not have killed anything, but always a good time

Flipped bushes all day long and never got a bite. Threw a red square bill buddy threw a chatterbait and we had zero bites all day
