That's one of the coolest videos I've ever seen. People don't realize that a full grown cougar's shoulders can reach to a man's waist. I have a trail cam photo of one next to our lease, and it's shoulders were the same level of bluestem plants in October (36 to 50' tall.) Watch them walk, and you'll realize that they're a bundle of muscles.
I watched one walk through the woods and jump a 12 foot cut bank with my 8 year old son. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I decided it was important to take a few minutes to explain to my son what we saw, and then we drove on to hunt a woodsfield in the afternoon.
When we drove out later that night, I stopped at the spot where we saw it jump the cutbank to look for tracks. Poor kid was scared shitless sitting in the truck while I was looking for prints. He he took an 8 year break from the woods
