So why do y'all care if someone might see selma as an opportunity, it's not your money It depends, some of those “opportunity zones with tax incentives”, are our tax dollars at work. They will likely have little to no taxes for a while. And state and federal grants will help them profit. All in the name of helping the poor black community that is struggling.

Once they way overspend and line their pockets, they will declare bankruptcy and walk away and let the shiny new buildings rot like it did before.

We built a school in what one would call an “opportunity” zone.
The copper pipe got stolen out of the walls three times before the drywall could get hung. They quit stealing it when they painted the copper white. Real geniuses.

I hope they buy every vacant building on the river and spend a fortune fixing them up They would have to buy most of them from Hank and Rose Sanders as they bought all they could years ago when there was talk of a riverboat casino. They then use grant money to fix them up and promptly leased the biggest out for a bar that was a huge headache for the PD.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
