This site is about hunting and fishing, not about social issues. Its fine to complain about how the DCNR runs our hunting and fishing rules, but take the other stuff somewhere else.
The Code of Conduct rules and requirements won't alter the majority of Aldeer members because they typically already have self control with their posts.
This was a good and timely move Skinny. Well now, make sure you remember that cat, when you go posting up about places to take a crap, after you've eaten lunch š Wouldn't that be considered a public service announcement?

I would have sworn when I joined aldeer I read something that said this was a christian site. I dont know what any christians job would be if not to "convert" sinners or "show the way" to lost people. That is pretty much job #1 of any follower of Jesus Christ.

FWIW, I donāt always agree with a few of the mods on here...but I am beginning to appreciate them more and more.
If anything, we should turn them loose. Freedom of speech is for everyone.

If it's within the law and the constitution, I don't care what people post. If it's outside of those things, I might care but still not act. And I surely don't care what they think (other than praying for their souls if needed).
I don't understand this need for everyone to control each other. I can disagree with folks on my own, with my big boy pants on. I can also decide someone is a POS without mods informing me that I should think it.
Not knocking any policies. As other's have said, I don't envy the admins. It's like herding cats. But, frankly, the first amendment is there for a reason.
I guess what I'm trying to say is: Make sure to check your inner Karen before the site dies off a horrible, fiery SJW death.

Not picking at you or trying to start anything with you because frankly, I enjoy your posts and you speak with a lot of common sense. That said, is it just me or do you seem to give that advice more often than not?

Truth This is the only rule I take issue with. I will continue to speak about the gospel as much as I can. If I get booted, I get booted. I don't mean to imply that I will cram it down people's throats. Consider Jesus and the rich young ruler: Christ didn't chase the young ruler around begging him to repent after he was hesitant to give up his possessions and follow Christ, Jesus considered that the man had made his decision and he had received his reward in full. That's the approach I take. I will continue to speak of the gospel every chance I get, however, I won't "force" it on anyone. Salvation is free, but it's not without cost. Only those willing to repent can make the decision. I can't do it for them.

Skinny, can you fill us in a little more? Is this something pre-emptive that you and the mods have decided to do, before something becomes a problem, or is this in response to a formal complaint that has been received about the site and it's content, or warning of some kind from your hosting site? Got absolutely no problem with the rules and code of conduct or your implementation of such. Just a question I had.
