I recently purchased a 2016 ram 1500, it has the big fiberglass bed cover on it. I’m not a fan of it and would rather have the hard retractable type bed cover. What do y’all recommend and why?

I have a tri fold hard cover by Undercover. I like it, it sits flush with the top of the bed and is secure.

Check out Truxedo Lo Pro. Have one on Tundra and love it. Very tight low profile canvas rollup. Leaks a little at corner but not bad. Have had no issues with wet gear. Simple rollup with lock down straps built in. Paid $650 installed. Simple functional design that looks great.

I just bought a trifold soft top off Amazon for $230. It was a recommendation from Gomer on here. Been happy with it. I washed my truck yesterday and it didn’t leak one bit.

Definitely not cheap, but they are dang near bullet proof. I have one on my Tacoma and love it.

I’ve has this one on my Tundra since the truck was purchased new:

You can LOCK it in any position.
The bed contents don’t get wet when fastened shut.
I paired this with a Bed Rug which exceeded expectations, too.

Thank y’all for the recommendations... I think I have decided to go with the paragon. That bamaeyedoc posted about in the other thread. I like the ability to fully remove in seconds should I need the whole bed. Now if I can just sell this fiberglass cover that I have on it now, I’ll be in business
