We were at the house in Trussville moving some stuff up to the cabin and there was nothing to drink up there, so I looked in the garage firdge and way in the back was some beer I brewed 10 years ago. It was fantastic. I'm glad a have a few of these left.

Some hamburger steaks, mashed taters and sauteed squash

Typical cabin happy hour

The butcher at the local United Grocery cuts me these Mexican beef fillets. Mrs. Irish makes a salad...

And I fry the steaks in cast iron in butter and herbs

Simple breakfast of thick uncured bacon, eggs and 3 cheese grits

We've been really digging Thai, Vietnamese and Asian bowls lately

[Linked Image]

Add a little sauce...

And serve with a little chopped peanuts...

Sometimes you just get a craving for junk food. We had some homemade chili left and decided to go for it. I like my dogs topped with: Mustard, ketchup, homemade kraut, chopped onions, relish, chili and real chili sauce. Of course if you have any chili left over after putting it on the dogs, it should go on the Tater Tots!

I've got to where I love the hash for breakfast

Thursday night we had two other couples over and so I made a baked Ziti. I love it when the cheese gets all brown and crusty

Bison burgers last night with two of my favorite things: Mexican beer and tater Tots

OK... That's all for today. I've got to get outside and get to work on the outdoor shower and tub on the upper deck. I want to finish all that up this weekend.

How do you not weigh 400 lbs?

I'm getting there, we started "Intermittent fasting" and working out again this week. I found out today that we aren't going back to normal office life until after Labor Day. So I have to get back in shape. Most of the calories I have been burning lately have been cabin projects and I need to ramp up the calorie burning and cut down on the calories consumed. SO no eating between 1900 at night and 1100 the next day. Hopefully that will right the ship.
