I did some google searches and GOOD GRIEF "ready made" greenhouses are high. Anyone got any experience with building honemade hotboxes or greenhouses? I though about flipping a water tote upside down or using 2x4s and that plastic clear siding material to build one.

I’ve seen where folks used cattle panels curved over into an arch and then covered with roll plastic.

palram has some nice kits . Check online
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts,hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I built mine using one of the 7'x8' EZ Shed kits for the frame and the Clear Corrugated Polycarbonate panels for the walls and roof.

My mother bought a greenhouse kit when I was about 18. It had 43,747 stupid little bolts and nuts in the kit and took 40 forever to put it together

I bought a 10x12 Harbot Freight greenhouse kit for $400 . It had 43,747 bolts and chinese written direction. I threw them away. It took me alone a week to assemble and I ran out of cuss words on day three. BUT, it looks good and works great. Just came out of it 30 min ago. 6 years old now, needs a couple panels replaced.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Dad used to take 10' sections of PVC and put a T between to make a domed one. Drive rebar in the ground to hold it. Cover with clear poly. Worked pretty well and cheap

Worked pretty well and cheap My grandfather did the same, but used fiberglass roofing panels. He built it in the 70s for my grandmother's flowers, and except for replacing panels that were busted from us playing baseball in his backyard, it has stood the test of time. He had to replace /repair some panels that got busted from us playing baseball in the backyard, but other than that, it is still standing.

Seen that as well. Dad set a couple 4x4's in the ground with a 2x header. Hang an old storm door for access. Run poly to the frame. Cut a couple slits on end to vent.
