Going with the family to Oak Mountain to do some tent camping this weekend. Plan on bank fishing a bit probably on the lake the campground is on. I haven’t fished at Oak Mountain in about 15 years and didn’t have much luck then. Anyone been lately?

We used to catch more fish in the "swimming lake" than the fishing lakes at the far end of the park. Have caught some nice cats in there and the bass seem to either be all stunted little ones with a few giants. Caught my second biggest bass out of there but all the rest were small.

Take your boat if you have one Ive thought about taking my boat but I havent camped at Oak Mountain in years either and I dont know if there will be room to park the boat.
