Called one up for my buddy, dead at 6:15. His first public land bird and second longbeard ever. Heading on down the hollow to try and get me one now. Got one that’s been gobbling pretty good a few hundred yards away.

Heard one gobble. Cut the distance in half and heard folks hooting from where I thought he was. Now I’m set up in a burn a couple hundred yards from where I thought he was. Had one big boar hog cruise through

Decided to spend the day with my 3 year old.. we were up early and currently in the garden listening to one bout to have a brain aneurysm or stroke out from gobbling... he’s loving it I can’t wait..

Killed #2 this morning, was a beautiful morning in the spring woods. I heard 3 different birds on roost. Found a lonely 2 years old that would gobble just enough to keep tabs on him. I can’t win a battle to save my life this year. Called a bird in only for him to hang up on a ridge and make me watch him strut and listen to him gobble for about 45 minutes with no shot. Fun morning but also very frustrating as this is the 4th time this season I’ve had one cheat death
