There is 148,000 worldwide an only 2300 people in this country that has this new type of flu. I don t understand how so many people are losing there minds over thisLike the chart outback posted this is nothing new to have a new disease like this one . There is 2300 people that live within 5 miles of me . Puts it in prospective for me when there is 235 million people in this country. What s get me is the peoples reaction. Ive seen panic when we gonna get snow or ice but that just in our general area. Every news outlet shoves this down your throat. I witness some crazy people yesterday when i went to drug store to get wifes meds. I understand this probably gonna get worse especially with everbody connected on this social media. I just can t for the life of me understand why people are fighting over crap . If things really get bad for real there will be blood shed. I always have garden an can food to last for months. I could live off grid for a long time. I ve always been that way.Guess im just too much old school compared to the general population. I was raised in house with no bathroom an outhouse with corn cobs. Most people on this forum seems to be like me an i enjoy coming here . Guess thats why this only place i go every day or so just to check in. Glad to see there is little common sense left . But i am so amazed at how stupid people act when something like this comes along. Guess one good thing for me is i work in logging buiness an these stupid people think we gonna run out toliet paper . Thats funny. Might make logging prices go up in short term but doubt it. It was funny to me watching people tote out baskets full of toilet paper an water. Ihave spring that overflowing with water with all the rain we have. Comes out my sink. Should be selling it to these people.

You're almost 100 million low on the population of the US but I get your point and agree 100%. Sounds like we grew up very much the same. Rational people in this country NEED to soak this up and remember every detail that's going on around them for future action. This WILL pass and when it does, the free thinking/God fearing/self sufficient people in this country need to be better prepared for the next one. It may not come in our lifetime, may never come at all or may come before next year. Be BETTER prepared than you were when this one started.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

Very good advice.

9/11 was less than 20 years ago but the lessons from that day have been long forgotten by most folks.

Many folks are not taught now days to be self sufficient. Many are not taught how to deal with defeat or told no I can’t have this or that. The bottle water crap drives me nuts. I still drink out of my tap. And if that gets cut off I have a small water filter and can find a body of water if need be.

I bet youd be surprised how many people have no clue how to make a water filter with what nature provides. Simple skills can come in handy.

I'm ashamed of my fellow Americans. It's embarrassing what we are doing to ourselves. I wonder what would happen to us if we had a real catastrophe? This has been a real eye opener.

I would doubt it.
