If you a hunt a deer trail every weekend.will the deer change there patterns or stay the same. I've shot one off the trail and they still seem to walk down it every time I go.

If I shot one in one trail and they're still using it shortly afterwards I wouldn't change a thing!

But to answer your question. I have seen both as probably every hunter that has ever hunted trails. Sometimes they'll change their patterns and sometimes they won't. If we knew exactly what they were going to do everytime then there would be an outrage on how many deer are being killed.

But that's just my opinion.

depends on how good of a funnel it is and how much you stink up the area. i once killed 3 off the same creek crossing in successive weekends. ease in and out and get another one.

Sounds like you have answered your own question.

As long as you don't mess them up they will continue to use it.
And I ain't referring to punching a hole in them.

We have about 5-6 locations we can hunt on our 160 acre land (700 yards x 700 yards). Some sites are clearly better than others. I never see deer everytime I'm there but I have better success in certain locations. As I plot my deer sitings on the map, it appears that we have much higher deer density in once certain area. And this may be the case due to bedding areas and staging areas. However, you have to ask yourself is there a highed density in that area or are there more deer seen in that area because that area is hunted more than others.

When we used to hunt green fields all the time, we would see deer come back to the field the next afternoon after a deer had been killed the day before.

If it's working for you, stick with it!
