It is absolutely sad that this has happened and I pray for his family especially if his daughter was onboard.

Don’t you think it’s odd that it’s an S-76? Those are reliable aircraft. If you would have told me a Robinson I wouldn’t be shocked but to hear it was an S-76 leads me to believe that something extraordinary happened

I hadn’t heard it was an S-76. Those are really good helicopters and most are instrumented for instrument flight. Someone mentioned earlier that it was possibly foggy, they could have gone IIMC and/ or gotten SD. That combination of inadvertent followed by spatial-d has killed a lot of people. It is pure speculation at this point on my part but I wouldn’t rule that out. I am guessing by your handle you know a thing or two about helicopters, so you know as much as I do that mechanical failure is very rare.

I have a son that is currently a Night Stalker and know what it means. Thank you for your service.

Never watched him play. I hope his celebrity doesn’t overshadow those others who lost their life. IMO, the two young girls death is most traumatic.

If you are rich enough, you don't have to follow the same rules.

Tragic that his 13 year old daughter and the other people died, but he is no great loss. Just another POS sex criminal. I hope he gets put in the pit with Hitler, Stalin, and Mao and has to service them for the next 100 years.

I don't know if he was a sex offender or not, It is a sad situation and I feel for all that perished and their families. I don't understad why so many people are so upset and flocking to the staples center. He was a great basketball player but to many people idolize atheletes way more than they should.

None of these asshat POS news reporters give 30 seconds reporting to the death of an American soldier protecting our way of life.

Not that my opinion matters, but I'm inclined to think the rape allegations were BS. Too many of these women see the $ signs associated with an athlete and in today's culture, a large portion of the population thinks the woman should be believed no matter what.

I don't know whether he was guilty of the rape allegations or not. At this point, it really does not matter.

What I do know is that no matter whether you are an athlete, a celebrity, a rich man or a pauper, when times like these happen all of that stuff no longer matters. Take away all of that stuff and we are all the same.

His wife, his remaining children, the families of the other 7 victims, all of them are hurting people right now.

It is our duty as Christians to pray that God will comfort them and to help them through such a tragedy.

As for his alleged "sins", God Almighty will be the final judge of that. Not man.

Dang, by looking at that picture I fear the chopper may have been full of kids, Gigi's teamates going to the basketball camp.
