We watched it live from the beach.......it wasn't because of the jetties. They were 3-4 miles offshore when the boat caught fire. Apparently the cause is "still under investigation" but I saw a facebook post where a friend of a friend of a friend of the owner said it started in the engine compartment. Take that with a grain of salt since it's from FB, but who knows.
It burned for a good 20-30 min before they got it put out.

Yeap. You could see the smoke from the beach. Thank goodness nobody was hurt or worse.
